James Sloan KPAO KLVK KPAO PPL training flight /// Troubleshooting rough running. Seems like spark plugs probably a little fouled. Starter duty cycle - 10 seconds, followed by 20 sec cool down Slow flight - lost 200 ft on entry. 2nd attempt (with flaps) ballon 100 ft when added flaps. 3rd attempt, lost 100 ft. Maintain heading +/- 10 degrees. Look outside more. Power off stalls - good. In turn: Recover with wings banked Power on stalls - slow to rotation speed before raising nose and adding power. Steep turns - Roll faster into bank, maintain 45 deg, look outside to judge if bank or pitch is changing. Simulated engine fire and power off landing - get to 100 knots. Shut off fuel. Fire out? Probably don’t restart.
