Aviation Adventures began in June 1989 with one Cessna 172 (N61803) and one instructor (Bob Hepp), operating off of the public ramp in Lawton, Oklahoma. The humble beginnings included hauling auto fuel from the gas station to the airfield in 5-gallon jugs, continuous owner-assisted inspections and repairs, and checking tiedowns in the rain during tornado watches.
In August of 1990, Bob and the 172 moved to Fort Leavenworth, Kansas and flew with the flying club there for a year. In May of ’91, Bob went to Germany and 803 stayed initially with the Fort Leavenworth Flying Club, then was leased to Phoenix Aviation at Kansas City Downtown Airport.
In June of 1994 Bob returned from Germany, picked up the plane, and re-started Aviation Adventures at Potomac Airfield, Maryland. In March of 1998, with 4 airplanes and 5 instructors, the operation moved from the trunk of Bob’s car to a very small office on the east side of the field. By June of 2000, Aviation Adventures had 6 airplanes and 6 instructors, and moved across the runway to a much more spacious office.
The events of September 11, 2001 closed Potomac Airfield for a month with the prospect of future flight school operations looking dim. In October 2001 we moved the airplanes to Warrenton-Faquier County Airfield and operated out of a red storage box for a month.
In November 2001 we took the opportunity to move to Manassas and operated from an office in the Jet Services (now Volo) building. In May of 2002, Jet Services asked us to take over all fixed wing flight training. We absorbed the staff, airplanes and office space formerly occupied by FlightTech Flight School and on June 1, 2002 had 14 airplanes and 16 instructors. July of 2002 saw the first Diamond aircraft come to Aviation Adventures, and we got our AST 300 Multi-engine Simulator in August to use for multiengine and instrument training, as well as airline interview prep.
In November of 2003 we gained the approval from the Town of Leesburg to open a Flight School at the Leesburg Airport. The next month we began flight training operations with a core of experienced instructors and a handful of aircraft operating out of a temporary trailer. In July of 2004 we moved from the trailer into the newly renovated Terminal Building and have continued to expand our flight training operations at Leesburg.
In April of 2008 the Manassas branch of Aviation Adventures moved from its very humble temporary office into its beautiful current facility in the Terminal Building. Moving to the Terminal Building was an essential part of the growth plan and has been instrumental in establishing Aviation Adventures as the leader in Technologically Advanced Aircraft and the premier Flight School in Virginia.

The School was granted a permit to operate as a Pilot School with CAAP (previous ATO) Air Agency Certificate No. 84-11. The flying school also graduated numerous number of pilots, both locals and foreign nationals, who are serving/and had served major airliners around the globe.
We are operating under the supervision of the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines which is a member of International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) for which its rules and regulations are honoured by the member countries. The School has maintained healthy relationships to honour and train every pilot applicant and to achieve the goal of being a Commercial Pilot.

The School is properly organized to meet the needs of every student undergoing training under a well tailored training syllabus acceptable to every foreign and local civil aviation authorities. The company has the capability to train the student with high level of accuracy and provide proper flying techniques. The recent ICAO and CAAP inspection that implemented stricter rules to all FBO’s and thoroughly audited most of the schools for having a well written training and procedures manual and syllabi. Surely this would be the greatest thing that happened to Philippine aviation industry which will soon upgrade the country to category #1 in Pilot training as more than 1000 international graduates pass out every year successfully.
The mission of Hood River Soaring is to promote the art and science of soaring by making the sport more accessible to all including special outreach to youth.
Main Line flying Association is member owned and operated. The goal of the association is to provide it’s members with a convenient means for private flying at the most economical rates. We share the benefit of aircraft ownership while sharing the expenses. All members participate in decisions concerning upgrading and maintaining our aircraft.
Monticello Flying Club is a non-profit flying club located in Charlottesville Virginia and incorporated April 22, 2013, have currently 12 members, and own a Mooney M20F.

The Texas Flying Club (formerly the Texas A&M Flying Club) is a nonprofit organization with the main focus of providing a safe, affordable, and fun environment for pilots, aspiring pilots, and aviation enthusiasts. We own three airplanes and have facilities at Easterwood Airport in College Station; as a member, you are part owner of each of the club’s aircraft. The club is run by members, for the members; we work hard to keep our rates as low as possible, you won’t find better rates anywhere!
No aviation background is necessary to join, everyone is welcome. Aspiring pilots will find it very easy to find a flight instructor in the club and get started with their flight training in the aircraft of their choice. Those who already have a pilot’s license will immediately be added to the online scheduling system in order to schedule aircraft for personal use.
We aren’t just a business, we truly are a club. Activities include monthly meetings, plane washes and breakfast, airshows, fly-ins, and more! The club is a great way to meet other pilots and aviation enthusiasts.

The Texas Flying Club works hard to make club membership affordable and enjoyable for everyone. All of our members are part owners of all of the aircraft and club facilities; therefore everyone gets to have a say in how things are done. No prior aviation experience is necessary to join. Many of our members joined with no flying background and went on to earn their pilot’s licenses and advanced ratings. We accept members of all ages; one can legally solo an airplane at only 16 years of age and so long as one holds a valid FAA medical certificate there is no upper age cutoff. “Decisions with respect to admission of members into the Club shall be made without regard to race, gender, ethnicity, religion, or handicap.”
