Uploading data for your flight

MyFlightbook now lets you attach arbitrary data for your flight. With newer glass cockpits collecting a variety of telemetry data, this is a great way to analyze your flight.

You can upload whatever data you want. MyFlightbook knows about some data, but can accept any data

Uploading data is really quite simple:

Create a CSV file with your data. This must be text based: ASCII, Unicode, or UTF-8.
The first row must be the names of the data columns.
You can upload the file when you enter or edit a flight.

That's it.

Known columns

MyFlightbook knows the names and datatype (and can perform some very simple validation) on columns with the following names. Each row represents a unique sample of these data points.

DATE	Date and time	Includes both date and time.
TIME	Date and time	Synoymous with Date
LAT	Latitude for data point	Must be -180 < LAT < 180
LON	Longitude for data point	Must be -180 < LONG < 180
POSITION	A combined latitude/longitude	Must be in the form N dd mm.mmmmm W dd mm.mmmmm (or "S" or "E" as needed in place of "N" and "W"). dd = degrees, mm.mmmm= minutes.
ALT	Altitude for data point (ft)	Must be ALT > -200
PALT	Altitude for data point (ft)	Must be PALT > -200
E1	Exhaust Gas Temperature, Cylinder 1
E2	Exhaust Gas Temperature, Cylinder 2
